English translation:

Dash like the wind! Knight of destiny
A silent warrior slipping into the dark…

Ask my sword why I fight
I seek neither love nor justice
In darkness I was born, in darkness I live, yet I tear through this darkness
For this is the mission handed down to me from the distant past

Dash like the wind! Makai Knight
At full moon, change into the Golden Knight
O lonely warrior, show your noble form
Feel your soul in your blade, wield it with fury
Shine upon this age, GARO!

The day will come for you to know what lies deep inside me
All my days alive were spent in battle
From love I strayed away, and the same love I detest, yet I seek it
No room for the slightest comfort, this is the vow I take

Rise with the flames of war! Makai Knight
Follow as destiny commands
Oh solitary warrior, shine in the moonlight
Strike down the shadows which draw near
Let the world hear you roar, GARO!

Dash like the wind! Makai Knight
At full moon, change into the Golden Knight
O lonely warrior, show your noble form
Feel your soul in your blade, wield it with fury
Shine upon this age, GARO!

Dash like the wind! Knight of destiny
Bring light to this darkness…

Fan Profile Crazy!!!!

August 7th, 2007 by sword-breaker-20

August 7, 2007 - Tuesday

Man, thanks to my fellow otaku fan delta-gatack, I was surprised to see fan profiles of his friendster…One of them was the Nail Queen, and I’m talking about Ayumi Hamasaki.

Shocking, isn’t it?

After becoming a fan of Willy Wonka, I added her profile for everyone to see…

…And the list goes on (with some side comments):

  1. RockYou.com - The widget site for all profiles asks anyone for their next widget ideas!
  2. Friendster Team - What’s up for the Team this time? Another bothersome maintenance?
  3. Happy Tree Friends - Too cute for violence, indeed!
  4. Kim Chiu (this one’s for real, guys and gals!) - Speechless! That’s how I describe the new NescafĂ© commercial featuring Kim!
  5. Good Times w/Mo, Andy and Mojo - Wow, these DJs from Magic 89.9 sure how to make every weeknight more exciting! I love DJ Mo’s Forbidden Questions segment because of it’s "no-schtick" approach.
  6. Cory Yarckin - This model-singer knows how to bring the house down!
  7. Chris Pirillo of blaugh.com - A-List bloggers, beware!
  8. A Change of Pace - This upcoming band will strike quickly!
  9. Urbandub - Metro Manila isn’t the birthplace of rock bands anymore, bai!
  10. VOID808 - Pure emo rock at its finest!
  11. Vannessa Hudgens (this one’s for real too!) - How’s Zac Effron, Van?
  12. Shimizu Saki of Sweet Berryz (Berryz Koubou)- Kawaii!!!

Oh boy, what’s next for me this time?

Post-2nd Sem Woes…

April 4th, 2007 by sword-breaker-20

April 4, 2007 - Holy Wednesday

Dissappointing… That’s how I felt after this semester ended with nothing more than a safe-fail grade of 2, and now, for the first time, I had a line of 3, in my Math 4 class. Nakakaasar… I was nothing more than a failure.

OK. My family’s broadband connection now restored, and I use my PC again for logging to two of my Friendster accounts that I have. I need to take a break after this entry for three days starting tomorrow. I need to reflect… On what I have done this school year.

Blocking Time (Again?!?!)!!!!: A Blog Against Content Filtering

December 12th, 2006 by sword-breaker-20

December 12, 2006 - Tuesday

A NOTE TO SIR D. C. V., I.T. ADMIN: Bakit na naman buhay ang p***ng ***ng SonicWALL CFS na ‘yan, ha?!?! I thought that it would never used again until it was "rehashed" due to high bandwidth use and visits to some sites that will "affect student’s productivity, e.g. YouTube, Friendster Layouts, Friendster Tweakers, etc."(sic). Alam ko na sumusunod ka lang sa utos mula sa Legarda Campus,  eh, pero, ‘wag sana naman lahat ay haharangin ‘nyo. Kung hindi, sa labas na lang ako (o lahat ng mga estudyante). I don’t like it. I don’t like it at all. I hate seeing students complain  why some sites were blocked because of that no-good-for-nothing CFS service like SonicWALL. That’s the reason why I hate using our school’s Internet room when that StupidWALL hinders my surfing activities. Better surf at some I-CafĂ©’s outside the campus and pay per hours usage to enjoy the sites you love to surf than to surf with no pay per use, but you’ll be welcomed with a "Web Site Blocked" on the screen in a college Internet room.

Dammit. Here we go again. SonicWALL is back after a month of hibernation. And just like last time, my thirst for pre-made layouts on my profile went nothing because that Sh*tWALL blocked Friendster-Layouts.com here in the college Internet room in our campus.

            It sucks, isn’t it?

Well, if you’re just like me who have the same disgust over that SuckerWALL many times, better surf outside the school instead. Even if you pay 15 to 25 freakin’ pesos per hour usage, you’ll enjoy visit the sites you love.

SONICWALL SUCKS, SIR DARWIN. BELIEVE ME, I HATE IT!!!!

Countdown to AU Carolfest ‘06!!!!

December 10th, 2006 by sword-breaker-20

December 11, 2006 - Monday

A NOTE TO THE AU-PASAY CHORALE: As a member of the AUPC, thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to be with you for the previous four months of training and vocalizations as a preparation for this year’s inter-branch Carolfest. I hope after all of this training that we endured, rest assured we can bring the glory, whether we win or lose in the college division of this event. Also, I would like to  say thank you to Sir Rain, for the advice about my attitude problem that I have encountered during the vocalization period. I’ll never forget that when it was now stuck in my memory: chin up, chest out, stand straight, and raise your voice! Thank you, everyone! Let’s give our best to win! c",)

THREE DAYS from now, all roads will lead to AU Legarda this coming Thursday when the college chorale, together with our high school counterpart under the training of Sir Rain Aguilar, will compete in this year’s pre-Christmas event, the 2006 AU Carolfest.

After four-and-a-half months of training, the AUPC needs to grab the best college choir throne away from the current "masters", the AU-Pasig Grand Chorale. I don’t have any idea of what our fellow Arellanites in Pasig under their sleeves as far as the singing pieces are concerned, but rest assured, they will beat us (Pasay) again just like last year (when I wasn’t around at that time). I have the same feeling for Legarda at  what will be their fate this year.

Ill-prepared for the Pasay team, both college and high school departments? I don’t think so.

Forget the singing pieces that each branch has prepared in the said event. It’s the costumes what will each branch "wow" the audience matters. I don’t know what will be our costume look like this Thursday, but the color that will used in our tops will be either red or yellow, the color that the "lolas" (AVP Lobregat and College Admin Dr. Santos) like most. Matching white bottoms and kicks? Yes! There will be whites that will complement the top part that will be our overall costume for the college chorale.

As I count down the next three days and the last three rehersals before the day of the Carolfest, let me remind you whatever happens to AUPC and AU-JAS Chorale, win or lose, I will always sing for fun and delightment of all.

GOOD LUCK TO BOTH AUPC AND AU-JAS CHORALE IN THIS YEAR’S CAROLFEST!!!!

Second Sem Firestarters!!!!!

November 24th, 2006 by sword-breaker-20

November 24, 2006 - Friday

Semestral break’s over, and there’s a lot of bleeding to do in the next five months. Even though my schedule this sem is now different than the previous sems, this one will not be easy. My classes are now from Monday to Friday; Saturday is my day of relaxation (except if there’s a chorale rehersal).

After last sem, my grades from seven subjects were no good. Six of those subs were on the line of two. Here’s the lowdown on my grades from last sem:

  • PE 3 (Individual Sports)  - 1.75
  • CS 216 (Computer Programmming II - COBOL) - 2.00
  • ETHICS I (Ethics & Values Education) - 2.00
  • CS 215 (Operating System Principles) - 2.25
  • ENGL 3 (Philippine Literature) - 2.50
  • PHYSICS 001 (Mechanics, Heat & Sound) - 2.50
  • MATH 003 (Math Analysis I - Differential Calculus) - 2.75 [Worst Grade Ever!!!!]

Now, what’s next?

Don’t expect any miracle from me if I fail again this sem. Seven subjects were ready to be taken by me, four of those were majors and the rest were general subs. Ask me what are those subjects are, and I’ll give you the answer in the upcoming posts.

My attention is now focused not just on my subjects (both major and general), but also on extra-curricular activities. I’m now back on the chorale group as a result of my eagerness to try singing a different tune: choir music.

For next month, my guts will be tested via a preliminary examination on the first week of December, followed by what will I called an event of pure disastrous proportions: the inter-branch annual Carolfest. And it will be a test of singing glory between three branches (if ever there’s a contest or a competition): Pasay (Abad Santos), Legarda (Sumulong), and, of course, the current "Champs", Pasig (Bonifacio).

IT’S BLEEDING TIME!!!!

It’s “BER” Months Season (Again?!?!) !!!! - Part 2 (The September Rendezvous)

September 25th, 2006 by sword-breaker-20

September 25, 2006 - Monday

If everyone read the first part of this entry two weeks ago, then you’re ready for the second part, and this is about what happened this month of September this year.

  • September 11 - The world comemorates the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. But still, Al-Qaida’s leader, Usama bin Laden was remain unseen by the world (and only appeared on the Qatari network Al Jazeera) today, and the reports of his death due to natural causes were now circulated. Can the US still capture UBL in the mountains lying between the Afghanistan-Pakistan border? Not a chance.
  • September 16 -  Lito Glean, head of the Business Permits and License Division of Makati and a close security aide of the current mayor (and United Opposition head) Jojo Binay, was gunned down at the Shell gas station at the Bonifacio Stopover in Taguig, meters away from the on-ramp of the EDSA-Kalayaan-Buendia flyover and its shared border with Makati. Binay was saddened and outraged what happened to his kumpare. I saw the crime scene as I was on a taxi with my Mom and saw the cops gather to report it. A week later, one of the suspects in the was caught robbing a money changing shop in Malate.

Now, I’ll tell you what happened on my campus life this month. During our semi-final examination week, it was a drag, a big drag on some of my general subjects. Some skipped dates, while others were as planned. Last Saturday, our final examinations in Physics 1 was so damn hard, I thought that I would take the exam on a later date.

This week (and the last week of the month), our Komsay Week will start tomorrow for three days. And to top it all that, our campus’ get-together party is on Friday!!!!

For those who bought tix, see you guys there!!!!

It’s “BER” Months Season (Again?!?!) !!!! - Part 1

September 8th, 2006 by sword-breaker-20

September 8, 2006 - Friday

OK, it’s official: it’s "BER" season, and I either like it or not for some personal reasons, but, it’s also the semifinal period for the first semester of my second year! After the mess I made on the last two periods, this one shouldn’t be the third…

Oh, BTW, is everyone reading my last entry weeks ago? I hope you learn the fatal lesson on which site you accessed from a public PC, especially here in AU.

Stupid Content Filtering Services… I’m Fed Up!!!!

July 25th, 2006 by sword-breaker-20

July 29, 2006 - Saturday

Dammit…

I thought content filtering wasn’t a bad idea, until my profile background on Friendster has been blocked! The question is, whodunnit?!?!

I was complaining this problem in secrecy because I don’t want to be considered a criminal because of this. Is there a government policy regarding this? Content filtering services (CFSs) may be good for some schools and businessses, but it’s bad for users, including me. Here are the list of some sites banned by SonicWALL CFS, one of the hardware-based CFS in the market, in no particular order in the following so-called "Forbidden Categories":

  • YouTube.com - MP3/Streaming
  • Yahoo Messenger - Chat/Instant Messaging (IM) (MSN Messenger, AOL IM and ICQ etc. may be included in this list, but I don’t know if they’re included in this classification.)
  • Photobucket.com - MP3/Streaming (Every IT Admin may be smart on blocking this site, but there’s no mp3 files hosted/available; only photos and video files are accepted. Everyone of you are dumb, IT Admins.)
  • PartyPoker.com - Questionable/Illegal Acts (What’s so questionable or illegal about it? It should be classified as a Gambling site instead of that. Dumber!)
  • MySpace.com - Chat/Instant Messaging (IM) [MySpace users, stay away if you don't want this part.] (What the hell is that? Why it should be included in this list anyway? I don’t have a MySpace account yet, but it shouldn’t be included here because of the inconvenience. They should treat the site like Friendster does: it should be accessible by anyone, anywhere, anytime!!!!)
  • hi5.com - Chat/Instant Messaging (IM) (Just like MySpace, this site shouldn’t be blocked because I have a hi5 account. What so "forbidden" about hi5, anyway? Dumbest!!!!)

To know more of these ratings, visit the SonicWALL CFS site here.

The lesson? Don’t you ever access any of these sites on your school/company if they installed a CFS on their servers. They would block any of these sites in any given time, even if you hit the Refresh button one hundred times.

I tried that when I access PhotoBucket on my school after the network connections were upgraded. The result? Blocked.

In my personal point of view, CFS is censorship (my emphasis). Believe me, it does promote censorship, but on a mass scale. Bad technology, isn’t it? The goverment should do something to prevent the importation of these technologies in our country, or should I say, ban all kinds of CFSs and their relatives, including SonicWALL. What if these technologies reach into the hands of oppressive countries around the world and try to ban any Web site that promote "sensitive" issues like democracy, human rights, sexual education, etc.?

And oh, by the way, let me end this one with these words: Content filtering services suck!!!!
